The GEM Plastics Limited business grew from the initial production of containers designed for the transportation and bulk storage of a variety of lubricant products.

Our range of strong and durable closed head drums are ideal for lubricant handling. The drums are manufactured by our extrusion blow moulding process using HDPE resin for a tough and durable finish.
Our closed head drums are rigorously tested for leaks to ensure UN compliance.  GEM Plastics Limited closed head drums are available in 110 litres, 210 litre and 220-litre capacities.

Our Process
Our high-density polyethylene (HDPE) containers are especially suitable for Lubricants. UN approved for extra reassurance, and available in a dynamic range of colours, we pride ourselves on high standards of production coupled with features like Visi-strip and anti-glug neck to enhance the lubricants offering. A labelling service is also available.

UN approved for the packing and storage of dangerous goods, we pride ourselves on high standards of repeatability in our production processes coupled with an exceptionally high focus on food safety and GMP systems throughout the business.

Quality Assured
The majority of GEM Plastics Limited HDPE sized containers are also certified for the transport of dangerous goods in compliance with UN packaging requirement and are approved by the various international modal agencies covering shipments by road, rail, sea and air.

All UN marked containers produced by GEM Plastics Limited are 100% leak tested, in full compliance with regulations.
